E-guidance practitioner skills training

Public e-guidance practitioner skills workshops and private bespoke in-house training are designed to address the development of guidance practitioner skills and provide effective guidance interventions at a distance.

Learning outcomes

• A clearer understanding of what e-guidance is and what it can do
• An awareness of the key skills required of an e-guidance practitioner
• Developed strategies for using email/Internet for careers advice and guidance

Opportunities to:

• Identify the latest research in delivering guidance via email and internet
• Discuss e-guidance models of practice utilised by a variety of guidance organisations
• Analyse your e-guidance skills and aptitudes and compare with your face-to-face guidance skills
• Identify the pros and cons of e-guidance
• Discuss the range of e-counselling techniques developed, as well as developing strategies for demonstrating empathy and personalisation through writing
• Practice your e-guidance skills, aptitudes and strategies using a range of case studies

Who should attend?

• Anyone who has an interest in delivering information, advice or guidance via email/Internet and also, those who have undertaken email/web-based advice and guidance

Duration and location of training

• Workshops last 1 day, starting at 10am and finishing at 4.30pm
• They are based in either our Manchester or London offices
• Each workshop holds a maximum of 15 delegates

How much does it cost?

• £170 per person (plus VAT)
• 20% discount offered to current ICG registered students currently studying on a careers guidance course
• Includes all materials, lunch and refreshments

• 7th November 2007 in London
• 2008 training dates will be posted here once confirmed

To book a training place

• You will need to complete our e-guidance skills booking formand email or post this to the iProspects Sales Team (submission details on the booking form)
• Phone bookings will be provisionally accepted provided a booking form is submitted within 14 days of the phone booking

Bespoke in-house e-guidance skills training

Our bespoke e-guidance practitioner skills sessions are delivered privately to companies who require e-guidance skills training delivered to groups of staff. We will discuss your e-guidance skills training needs and agree a programme, which can be for a day or up to 2 days. Bespoke training is generally delivered at your own premises.

Training rates for bespoke training

• Half-day training £500
• 1-day training £1100
• 2-days training £2500
• Plus VAT and trainer travel and subsistence
• For groups over 15 delegates, a second trainer will be required, charged at 50% of the original trainer daily rates.
